I wouldn't even put that in my car. Looks too good. I'd just get a glass case and display it in my living room.

Tight work Foxer 10, . ? in regards to exhaust side of your turbo did you have it jet-hot-ted or did you purchase it already done. I'm purchasing my turbo this month to start the fab work and was wanting to jet-hot my turbo also and did'nt find anyone out there coating them, your intel would be appriciated.

Thanks guys!! Appreciate the feedback.

Yep its a GT3037R (aka GT30R or GT3076R). From the dynos i have seen, this turbo give massive mid-range. Being on a stock block, im shooting for 400+ whp.

The manifold, turbine housing, & downpipe is HPC coated. This is their 1200 version which is available in polished finish. Dont know how much i paid for the HPC as it was a kit price, but go to http://www.hpcoatings.com/, as they have pricing online.

passmans2kny, lol, install your stuff already, I want to see what the 2.2 would do against me

BMACMAC, I did HPC cause its a little more affordable. Jet Hot is probably the best one available as far as coatings BUT its expensive. Jet Hot demonstrates their coating by smacking it with a hammer and it will never chip!

Actually I think it would have been better if you would have not coated the DP because you want the air to cool faster coming out of the turbo.

Am I right on this?

*not expert*

having a lower temp as exhaust is exiting will help keep engine bay -a little- cooler...but the cooler exh. gases will move slower through the rest of the exh. system which ends up being a negative

That's not true...you must realize that the exhaust gases are slowed down tremendously trying to go through the turbines in the first place. You are spinning a fairly heavy inertial mass up to 40,000rpm using just exhaust gases. It takes a lot of energy to reach that point. Going through the blades reduces exhaust gas energy and energy = heat. Simple chem/physics PV=nRT

Lowering temps post turbo reduces pressure (by reducing volume) which can actually promote flow.

BTW, it looks really nice

I hate how the F20/F22C can only get 3 bolts out of 4 on most engine stands.
