Default Fuse Box and EPS Relocation

All the wiring and soldering has been done. But I plan on tracking the car soon and I’m concerned about damaging the EPS and other wires when I’m sending it. My spoon fenders don’t agree with the OEM fender liner to protect the wires

Is there any way to protect the wires from potential damage other than lots and lots of heat shrink, electrical tape and wire looms? I’ve done all those.

Hey there. I was going to suggest an idea and luckily someone else has done it. I dunno what year your car is (can’t see sigs on mobile if you have that info there) but behind the fenders there’s ample room to mount this stuff on the chassis sheet metal without any cutting or drilling required. This guy did an awesome job in his thread. If you don’t mind losing the washer reservoir or relocating it you’d have an excellent spot. Depending on how crazy you want to get with wiring and plumbing you could probably use the real-estate on both sides of the car like this guy did. Check it out:

Looks like your spoon fenders curve inwards enough at the rear of the wheel arch to be in front of most of these components and enclose that section behind the fender.

Here’s some examples from his thread:

I relocated my eps to the fender and actually had to hack up he washed fluid reservoir to use as a “shield” since I don’t have fender liners with my spoon fenders. They just get chewed up and sound terrible once they’re caught on the tire.

It’s pretty sneaky how I plumbed it all. Being that I have no liner, I don’t want my wires to end up like my fender liner would. I hacked it up way more than this but this was the original concept. It still fits snuggly in the fender.

I resorted to using lots and lots and lots of zip ties and electrical tape looming the whole bundle of front harness wires and EPS. Secured them using Nissan push clips from ORiellys with two wholes drilled on the head for a zip ties. Similar to the oem zip ties holding the harness in place in the bay.

If there’s any other way to protect the from being chewed up I’m all ears. I doubt they will but I’m extra precautious especially if I’m gonna be tracking soon
