In case you wondered at what plug gap you’d get blow out, well in my case it was @ .038” in 6psi range and above. New plugs quickly fixed that.

These were NGK 2668 BKR8EIX. 2-3yrs old with 30K miles and with age plug gap grew from .031” to .038”.

OEM plug gap is .039 - .043” with service limit of .015”

This was with my newer 06+ Civic Si coil packs which seem to be more consistent than OEM S2K coils per Evans.

That some big ass gap your running. I need to be under .02 to not get spark blow out.

 

i run 40+psi lol

 

I always start at .25 and work my way down til I don't get anymore blow out. Currently sitting at .20 @27 psi

 

.031” works great for my low-ish boost NOVI1000

 

I'm running the stock 2668 0.33 gap with my measly 7psi, but injecting 500cc of 50/50 water/meth. No blow out.

 

Doesn't evans tech article recomend 0.018-0.028? Also recommends 2k mile interval on the plugs...

 

No idea. But gap that s2000Junky and I use seems to work fine with a SC. In my case that’s up to 13ish PSI @ .031”.
