Default G25 660 on s2k results!

LHT recently tuned a car with a G25 660 and stated that it did 470(whp?) on 16psi/93 octane. What are your thoughts on this, the g series still isn't very common on our cars/motors.

I saw the video but there was not that much info.. was the manifold and all the piping custom by them? Or was it a kit? Can you post a dyno sheet

Looks like a schmuck kit. Willing to bet they didnt want to post the dyno sheet because it would make that supercharger kit they love to install look like a turd lol.

Regardless 470 on such a small turbo on only 16psi is great no? I wonder if it was maxed out.

Purely from a power standpoint that's indeed true....Usually the case with supercharger vs turbo anyway. But in the particular case of their KW kit? I don't think there's anything that can save that kit in the eyes of the community at this point. It's finally gotten out there that the KW kit is complete piece of garbage. So much so that Ballade already has a ribbed pulley setup presale for it, (Ballade....of all people) and supposedly KW themselves are working on a revised design as well.

It's still funny to me though that they're quietly stepping away from the KW kit and trying to now promote SOS. It used to be about giving customers "value for their money", but it's finally reached the point where that isn't even really the case anymore. Case in point, in one of their latest videos they actually removed a KW kit from a customer's car and installed a Paxton blower in its place with the SOS mounting setup but retained the FMIC. I think that's saying something.

Extremely happy with mine. 421&477 are ~15psi. 93/E85. Top mount recirculated dump

other two is a borg s256 at same psi on 93/100. Top mount open dump.

What's your opinion between the two. Is the much higher of the cost of the g series worth it? how was the transient response vs the borg?

It looks like the G25-660 spooled up about 500-600rpm sooner. Looking at wheel diameters, G25 has 67m OD compressor and 54mm OD turbine. The S256 has 76mm OD compressor and 70mm OD turbine, so MUCH bigger on the heavy end turbine. I imagine the on/off response of the G25 is a magnitude better than the S256.
