Default Garrett gt45 too powerful?

Im looking to turbo my s2k and i have stock internals right now and i have a friend who has a garrett gt45 turbo he will sell me for like 200 brand new and i know i need all other turbo set up(intercooler, fuel, mani,piping,install kit) what other mods should i need is it going to be to powerful for my stock internals?

your internals are forged if i remember correctly, you'll wanna run new head bolts and head gasket as well. a gt45r will take incredibly long to spool on a f20c... if i were you i'd look into a 3037/3076 and maybe max of a 35R.

you'll need a clutch and a new exhaust as well.

and you'll have to mount that turbo infront of the engine so alot of fab work to.

Have you made sure that turbo is even a good match for your car's powerband?

they can move it, but that turbo is WAY to big for a stock motor, even with a ELTM.

buy it and sell it for a 35 or 30, or precision 5857 or 6062.

alright so ill go gt35 will i still be able to use my 3" catback till i put the turbo in i want to install it to see how it sounds so will it be to free flowing

U can run the 3 inch no prob. With a gt35 u will be happier on a eltm Mani Log will add to spoool time.

On a side note post FI questions in FI forum there's plenty of us to help u there
