Gauges?

Gauges?
hey guys,
i ordered Nordskog gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, boost, EGT) in May and they still don't have the EGT guage ready, they keep pushing the date back and at this point i'm really getting frustrated...
they had other gauges ready the whole time but didn't notify me so my car has been sitting around for 2 F****ng months.
what you think i should do, should i cancel the order or substitute for another gauge?
is EGT guage really important for turbo or can it be substitued it for something else?? (i already have A/F built into my EMS)
plz help me out guys...

Yeah the company is pretty slow with orders (there gauges are usually built to order I think) but they are very nice once you finally get them and are very easy to install.
If you have a/f chances are you won't need EGT but I think of it as a backup system. My FPR was dieing so I noticed my fuel pressure was going down, thinking maybe it was the gauge, I had both my a/f guage and my EGT gauge to confirm I was infact loosing fuel pressure.

Get one PLX gauge and monitor all four via one gauge; I am also monitoring oil temp, oil pressure, boost, EGT...
the one caveat is I had my EGT sensor break twice.. as you can see, EGT shouldn't be 380 degrees .. it is a K-type probe but I don't think you can get another brand other than the one PLX sells...

^^ how much did the gauge and sensors cost you?? if you dont mind sharing information
i think it was 220 per gauge plus $100-150 for each sensor
so figure $620-820
since you are using the AEM wideband you can just get a 2-pod A-pillar mount and one of these PLX gauges and call it a day..

or if you have the aem ems just get the serial gauge from them. They can monitor all of that in one gauge as well. I am about to install mine in a few weeks with my plx wideband. should be fun

You still need an AEM oil sensor to get the AEM guage to report oil pressure. Check out the AEM ProGauge forums before you settle on the serial gauge if your not interested in messing w/it. I was under the impression that it would report oil conditions thu the stock sensor but so far haven't gotten it to work, and I got 2 gauges..............

no for the serial gauge, you would need to get the additional sensors to get the fuel/oil pressure, egt, a/r, etc. However once you have those sensors you can feed them into the ems and datalog all of it as well. I am not sure about the plx gauges but the aem ones also allow you to set up warnings for different parameters. Once its out of the parameter it will start flashing that reading so you know right away what seems off.
