Default Getting a PTuning kit

Switching to turbo. I like the sc, but I’ve always kinda wanted to go to a turbo. The kit came out of a squashed AP1. Sad story, freshly installed and a shop guy totaled it before the customer picked it up

offff...... that's a very expensive mistake. Especially with the way S2000 values have been going.

I read your reply and I had to kind of chuckle. 100% true if my S 2000 weren’t already a Frankenstein of value reducing procedures, lol. It started as Sebring silver and now it’s black, thugs kicked in the passenger door so it has nine out of 10 vins. It has 140k miles and it’s already supercharged so any collector value it has is fully diluted by its non-original “ness”. At this point I could add spinner hubcaps, a home made wooden wing and a diesel motor and not really lower the value any further

I think he meant about the shop smashing the customer's car lol. I doubt we're worried about value retention in the forced induction subforum.

Yes, correct, the person who smashed someone else's car. Hate to see the insurance on that one! I'm in the middle of doing a fully custom turbo setup on my car. And, you know, everything suspension/wheels/brakes are modded Still rocking the OEM soft top with big tears, ha. Don't worry, my brain doesn't really get going until coffee #2

Damn. The incompetence was strong with that one... I'd imagine he lost his job after that

Yah, can you even imagine getting that phone call? Uh, so, uh, we kinda totaled your car.

I had the seller include the squashed up pipe section. See it really hammers home how perfect and brand new the kit was, as well as how bad they smashed the car to have that up pipe so fully flattened. The Spal fan was ruined, but not a scratch on the intercooler. One of the side tabs got pulled off but that a super easy fix.
It can with a Haltech ecu , so I’ll be sticking with that and offing my AEM. I guess the Haltech has a few more things it can do over the AMS. I’m perfectly happy with the AEM, but Haltech is what ptuning uses.
It’ll be fun to make this box of parts back into a beefy thing!
