gigantic head ache I NEED HELP
ok guys, here is my situation. so far my car has been down for FU*KING 6 months. my full race turbo kit is installed along with clutch, 3mm head gasket etc. However, full race sent me an intercooler that was too wide.. it would not fit for some reason.. since i am out of state, i believe the IC dimension was 30x11x3 overall.
so, i went ahead and did a merchandise exchange and it's taken them over 2 months to get me a new intercooler, as pwr is OUT of the core that i NEED!!!! obviously i cannot make the car run without a freakin IC.. so i was thinking that i might go to inline pro and see if they can help me out with a FMIC. while i do realize that the piping will not quite fit right up, but maybe it might be easier to just modify the IC pipes that Full race gave me and leave it at that..
my question to all of you with IP kits, does your FMIC have any fitment issues? the Full Race IC that was supposedly the "wrong" size had a 30 inch wide dimension (total).. and didn't fit.. i read on the IP website that theirs is 31.5 inches wide. which also (in all common sense) would not fit.. so i was wondering if anyone had fitment issues.
also, how long do you guys think it would take IP to get me a FMIC NOW!
damit i am going out of my god damn mind!

Most size intercoolers will fit with some fab work. I have a precision 600 on mine and we had to tweak it to get it on. Some have precision 750 FMIC's some have this and that. They will almost all fit with a little work even if you have to add some couplers and custom piping. Honestly if you NEED your car then just pipe it accross without a FMIC and wait until they send yours and fit it in. << That may not be the best thing but if you are staying at less then 8psi then you should be fine without one definetly considering its winter.
if its just the pipe fitment you are worried about just cut them and add come couplers depending on how much power you are making i wouldnt be too concerned with the extra hose length or couplers blowing out but if you cut the piping short take it to some one who knows how to wels and just have them weld on a few beads on the ends of the pipes where you cut
