i know of a s2000 making 550+ hp with 2" piping, running 20lb+ of boost.

I think everone else is correct the price is less because of needing other items, injectors, ecu, fuel pump ect.

[QUOTE=2003s2k2003,Sep 8 2008, 08:50 PM] Man everyone really loves saying you get what you pay for.
The reason this is cheaper is, no injectors, fuel pump or engine management. and no oil filter relocation kit.
Everyone on this forum automatically knocks something because it is less expensive.
Almost all of the parts are from well known companies.
Now I haven't used it so I can't say anything from personal experience, but everyone here really jumps on the bandwagon of "you get what you pay for" the second something less than most of the

Not necessarily.

A type RS blow off valve isn't a knockoff part if it's got Greddy stamped on it. Greddy makes a type RS BOV, it's not adjustable.

2.25" piping is perfectly fine for a 2L 4 banger. I don't get where someone says that's inadequate. You can run that size piping up to 500-550whp if you want.

I personally like running 2" hot side, and 2.5" cold side in order to create a scavenging effect after the intercooler. That's going to essentially be the same as 2.25" throughout.

The kit is good for people who like to put together their own stuff and be more flexible.

Look like I said it is a knock off no where on there page does it say greddy bov. They stress the fact that there other parts are authintic. But not the bov. you do the math. know as far as the piping would go I will quote my self and say it again. you can use 2.25 piping for a kit like that If you are not looking for big power(more flow=more power).

that's way too general. 3" intercooler piping on a 350whp setup would be less efficient than 2.25" or 2.5", but again, if you're looking for big power, you wouldn't be looking at this kit, right?

true. If I didn't already have a turbo and some piping and an intercooler that I can fab together myself, this would be a kit I'd consider as I can piece together my own management.

I apologize if I may have came across like I had something against the kit, I honestly don't.

I actually like the way the kit is put together, I would swap a few parts out, but the kit is still good for the price none the less.

As far as the saying "You get what you paid for", that saying was just a reminder to the OP that he should not expect INLINE PRO quality or horsepower for half the price, that's all.

Please take no offense to my posts, as I am not here to ridicule or look down upon anyone or anything, feel free to spend your money however you wish, you earned it.

To the OP, this is an excellent kit for the price, with an EMU/FIC, some 550cc injectors, and some competent tuning you would probably make the same power as any other kit in the market for far less money. Good luck

-Sam

Seems like it'd be a good kit for someone switching from a sc. If they're like me they already have the injectors, fuel pump, ems etc. And gears might not be bad with this kit either seeing how it doesn't make mind blowing power.
