Default Going for 700 whp on e85 next week

Will be looking at going for 700 whp with the IP 3mm hg, Precision 6262, Full Blown dual Walbro setup and 2200cc injectors on e85 next week when the injectors come in.

The only thing I'm worried about is the CC stage 5, 4 puck clutch holding up. It has held fine at 650 whp and 442 tq but I dont know how much more it can take before starting to slip. Anyone pushed the CC stage 5, 4 puck to its limit?

I'll post up the results sometime next week if the clutch holds the power and we feel safe pushing the engine to 700 whp on e85.

Well I did some back to back hard pulls yesterday on the cc5. After about the 4th race it was almost undrivable. I got probably 1200 miles on the clutch. Im changing out for the cc twin disc just to be on the sure side since changing the clutch in this car is not the easiest thing

^^What power level are you at? I've done several hard pulls in a row and no problems yet at 442 wtq. I think I have about 1000 miles on my CC stage 5.

I really couldnt tell you where I was at yesterday made 547 originally on t1 dyno but it has a little more tweaking now.

The clutch had never given me a problem till yesterday. Once it cooled down it was fine . Today just normal driving no issues . I know Carey B. had mentioned something to me about the clutch and suggested I switch to the twin disc once the power gets higher. Hopefully he will chime in for you.

Thanks man. I do believe Carey had this clutch too when he first bought the car off Steve. Maybe he pushed it to its limit to see how it would do. I hope mine holds up to 700 whp since I dont have the funds at this time for a twin disc. That is my next purchase though.

I also emailed CC to see what they thought. I'll let everyone know what they say.

I spoke w/Jeff Evans about this same clutch when I was looking to make more power, and he told me he has seen it hold over 700whp w/no signs of slipping.

Keep us up todate, Mase really wanted me to go Ethonal but I am going to wait a bit. The whole 150miles per tank on the highway is hard to get over.
