Default good or bad?

check compression on my AP1 with comptech sc.

1. 160
2. 160
3. 150
4. 185

reason for checking compression was.. dynojet show 250 whp with

ap1 25K miles, Comptech SC, Toda Header, Mugen Exhaust and Tune with AEM EMS Uego.

Please give me some feedback.

Thanks

i'd lean more towards bad than good.. the variance between the cylinders is not that good either. the numbers are pretty low for 11:1 compression. i'd be a bit worried. have you done a leakdown test?

i have an ap1 /w 50k miles and a comptech sc with stock headers & exhaust and no EMS.. i'm pulling 301whp on the stock pulley.

i haven't done a compression test though so i cant help you there.

ouch, i have an AP1 with 90k miles and my compression was

210-205-205-200 and the shop said thats excellent for a motor with that kinda mileage, wish i knew exactly what factors could cause reduced compression, is your head gasket stock?

did you run the car with the header & exhaust before tuning with the AEM? do you have a test pipe?

if you ran your car with comptechs stock setup & header/exhaust/test-pipe you were most definitely running lean, and more than likely detonating around vtec engagement (6000-7000RPMs).
