some kid i know has a slightly used garret t3/t4 (oil cooled) and wants $200 for it. is this a steal? thanks in advance.

i've talked to so many people over the phone who have bought used turbos there were claimed to be in good condition, but were crap. If you are seriously looking into this, have the turbo inspected by a professional before purchasing. If it's not a local deal, i say forget it. Stay on the safe side.
