I am picking up a turbo kit and would like to put an emanage in as the "temporary" ems. Will it work. I don't really care if I am able to produce 400 hp because it can't operate with larger injectors. I just want to know if it will work and can be tuned at least minimally until I spring for the 1052u. Thanks in advance.

 

There are guys running 500+ with the emanage blue. So yes it can easily handle 400hp and yes it can handle larger injectors (the 150% larger then factory injector size is BS); I'm running 675cc injectors with my emanage blue...

Instead of emanage blue, why not just go with Apexi V-afc? If you're gonna use emanage use emanage ultimate. Emanage blue is no better if more complicated than Apexi V-afc.

 

I am on a budget which is what is forcing me into the emanage in the first place. is the Apexi comparatible in price as well as performance. The emanage is +-300 the ultimate is twice that.

 

You could pick up a VAFC for about 200 I think.

 

The EManage lets you adjust timing. The VAFC won't let you do that and that's a big advantage.

 

I wouldn't trust a VAFC for a turbo car. As CourageOO7 said, it can't adjust timing and its not very well suited for larger injectors either.

At least with the emanage, you can pretty much go balls to the wall and get 500 horse and then switch to the EMS when ready.

 

Thats kinda what I was looking for. Thanks. Now what emanage will I need?? there are numerous ones ou there and all have different plug ins. Also which plug ins will I need??

 

Just get the emanage blue and buy a frog harness (plug and play harness) with built in injector and ignition harnesses. It'll save you time and money, trust me. Thats all you'll need really unless your tuner doesn't have the emanage support tool, then you'll need that as well to actually input settings into the unit.
