Default Greddy kit install

so i finished my install yesterday...i started it up n there was no leaks n wat not...i took it around the block n everytrhing was fine..i took it around the block again and pushed the car a lil more and one of my rubber piping came lose and anti freeze went everywhere....i fixed that and now today i started her up n warmed her up...i reved it a lil....reved it to 9k n i let go of the throttle n the rpms dropped n it bobbled a lil n almost died ...it prolly would have if i didnt tap the gas a lil......so i reved it some more n i noticed that when i tried to rev to 9k it kinda seemed like it had a hard time getting past 6k ish...i tried to rev it again and it seem like it again ..it seemed like it was being restricted maybe....im hoping that wat it might be...since im completly stock besides the kit.....i was thinking it might be because of my stock exhaust...im not sure though....srry for this long message but i was wondering if antone had n e thing in mind.....oh also after i reved it the last time it kinda smelled like boiled eggs..im not sure if that had to do n e thing but just incase....

i have My01
stock everything besides the kit
the kit was used for a couple months

Thanks
Josh

As you said you installed it yestaurday, so meaning you are not tuned. I do not rec. you rev the car to 9k rpsm or drive the car hard, if you must drive it take it easy before you get the car tuned.

Sorry, the ecu the way it is from greddy is probably unbeleavably rich running, it probably dumps soo much gas when you rev it up, that when it drops back down it wants to die from being soaked with gas.

if you are not moving and you can't rev passed 6k, sounds like you hit a rev limiter, your stock exhaust will not keep you from revving to redline at idle.

check your map sensor, make sure the connector is on good, make sure you didn't forget the rubber O ring and make sure the vacuum lines are secured and free from leaks.

Your car will perform better with a tune, more psi and a better exhaust, I mean much better. Dig around and look at the set ups from others, you should see close to 40- 50 more HP by just tuning the car and putting an exhaust on and upping the boost with a boost controller.

Greddy single or Invidia V3 Q300
Tune up to 9-10 psi
Maybe a Berk HFC
Boost controler
Boost gauge

i will most likely do a tune this weekend....but i js wanted to make sure that what i experienced isnt something serious but is prolly because of the base map ......and the untunedness (word of the day) of my car...

i plan on checking everything tomarrow and see if everything is connected good and what not...n see if it will have the same problems tomarrow......

n e one else have an idea?

That's about were your vtec kicks in, do you think you are moving over to the other cam? Make sure you got the car right before you go to the tuner, you may be feeling the vtec dip in the map or you still may have a bug.
