Default greddy kit vs own build

To make things easier....

Which way would be best for me:

A greddy turbo kit for an ap1 or should I piece everything together for my own build?

Keep in mind this would be my first time going turbo and my ap1 is my daily driver so I am only hoping to get 250-300whp.

Lol I have done a lot of searching actually...hours and hours over a three month span. And I found that people go with different set ups so I just wanted to see what would be the best set up for a first timer =)
Thats BS because you would find out what people go with. There has been a thread started for every and any reason already.

First post has been edited to make things easier since no one believes that I did any research at all.
