I just recently purchased a brand new Pfab Greddy replacement manifold and notice a line cut on the mounting face of the manifold

emailed Pang and he said this is to allow heat expansion to prevent manifold crack. anyone with pfab got the same design?

greeeatt. i have an exhaust leak and i was hoping it was a gasket, but now im scared that it's going to be the P-FAB manifold.
