Greddy Turbo Kit
Hello all,
I am considering the Greddy turbo kit for my S2000. The biggest reason I am looking at this kit is because it is pending CARB approval and I live and drive in California. From what I have heard, the kit does not put out huge amounts of power in its off the self form but the turbo is supposed to be large enough to give some big boost numbers and you are able to re-flash the management in the event that you up it! They keep it fairly mild for smog reasons I guess. I guess what I am asking is what do you guys think about this kit? It is supposed to be a complete kit and all bolt-on with management and even a base flash! But Greddy's web site is not very informative in regaurds to this kit and there sales staff can't figure out the difference between a round catch can and a square one! ( they sent me the wrong one TWICE!)

It comes with a tuned Greddy piggyback. So there should be some room to make more power with a custom tune...especially since the tune is probably done on 91 oct and conservative having to be generic. The kit seems to be geared towards those who are considering a supercharger as it offers similar peak power with better bottom end response.

If you buy a kit now before it is CARB approved, YOUR kit will still NOT be CARB legal. You will have to wait for it to be approved first.

That is what I am looking for.... About 300 - 350 HP but with more torque then most supercharger kits offer. And it needs to be smog legal in Cali'.

Greddy bolted on this kit to an otherwise stock AP2 and laid down 312HP with their base tune. Just the turbo kit, no other mods were on this car at that time. They latter added an exhaust, larger throttle body and a few other pieces and managed 338HP with the same boost and same tune!
