HARD START AFTER INLINEPRO TURBO KIT
Howdy.
Am totally new to s2ki.com. Just registered and everything---glad to be here.
Also glad that I took my AP2 to InlinePro to have a turbo kit installed. Got the stage I, with new head gasket, Competition clutch, and their rear diff kit, as well. It now makes 445 whp and is---as they promised---like a totally different car.
And everything's been great so far, with the exception of one thing----VERY hard starts in the morning.
I mean, not just a delay when you turn it over, but I turn the key for like three or four seconds, and it doesn't catch. So I try and try, sometime as many as seven or eight times.
After it's warm, it'll fire right up. And if I wait like six or seven hours during the day, it'll start with just a small delay.
But in the mornings: yikes.
I called the guys at InlinePro and my preliminary answer was that sometimes AEM cars are sometimes just hard to start and that's kind of it. But they were going to check with the mechanic who actually did the work.
No response yet, though. So I'm hoping some of you out there can give me some insight. And bear in mind I really don't know much about the mechanicals involved---I don't really understand how engines work, I just appreciate them!
Many thanks, guys.

Cold start is not something that can be easily tuned unless the car is in the same environmental conditions with coolant and air temp being identical. Remember, Honda has thousands of hours into the tuning of the small drivability nuances. Give your tuner a little leeway in dialing this in for you as he's literally starting with a clean slate.

aem has hic-ups so don't stress about it too much. Inline pro can fix this.
And like xeuxx said, give it about 2-3 seconds after you turn the key before pressing the start button.
if it still doesn't work, hit up inline and have it done right.

Wow! That's all a great, great help. Many thanks, good people!
And yes, I took your advice this morning and let key stand turned for a few seconds and although it was still reluctant, it did start after just a try or two. Much better than seven or eight!
So thanks again, guys. It's much appreciated.
