Default Header and exhaust moving to 3inch diameter for power

Hi,

Has anyone noticed any power gains or dyno'd their supercharged S2000 when moving away from normal aftermarket exhaust system sizes? ie less than ~2.5" (exhaust, testpipe and header) moving to full 3" system's?

I have a CTSC@13.7psi.

Thanks

Haven't moved from one, but I am putting a 3" on mine as it seems the best fit for the job (aiming for around 8-10psi)

can you reword the question, you want to run a 3 inch exhaust set up i can see and want to know if anyone has dynoed results with a super charger and a 3 inch exhaust, now I dont know what you are saying about the header, it sounds like you want to move back to a stock header from what u wrote "moving away from aftermarket header"

Yes sorry, meant to say moving away from full exhaust systems of around 2.5" to 3" exhaust systems.

When buying exhaust for a supercharged application, remember that its not the same as picking an exhaust for a turbo setup. SC setups respond well to some back pressure. The fujitsobo Legalis R Dual exhaust has some of the best gains for a SC setup.

IT IS NOT WORTH IT. people have made nearly 500whp on the stock exhaust. you already have bigger then stock. if you have money to burn then go ahead and do it. but you will not pick up serious power. my off the wall guess is maybe 5whp here and there unless the exhaust you run is just garbage. i doubt that though.

wanna know if your exhaust is a problem? get on a dyno, make a pull. then disconnect the exhaust at the test pipe and make another pull. make sure timing and AFR are the same, if they are and you make power then exhaust is holding you back a bit, if you make same power, then exhuast is fine.

i read that somewhere on kennebells site. not saying its god, but they have engineers on staff, a dyno, and have done this before. hope that helps.
