Default Headers with SC

I see many manufacturers showing header gains over a narrow band peaking in the 8k+ range- since boost is realized at the upper end is there much to be gained by going the expense of headers with my comptech SC? If so which makes do you recommend?

i think u have a header. not headers. and i don't think it would help much w/a supercharger setup.

Some people will swear they are the greatest things ever, others will say they are useless unless you just like the noise they create.

Personally I don't really see any benefit from them. The gains are pretty minimal, most actually loose power at low rpms where the car needs it most.

A well designed header will yield gains on a SC'd car. The power gain will be proportionate to the current mods and boost level. If you are running 5psi you main gain a few hp. If you are running 14+psi you will see more.

defiantly, especially for SC cars that flow more air out of the engine faster because of boost.

Anyone have dyno charts of before and after aftermarket headder install with a Comptech or a Vortech?
I think it would help this guy out a lot as well as everyone else wondering the results...

absolutely not. this is not like a turbo which requires new manifold.

All we have is hear-say...

I think the only way anyone will know for sure is to run say a stock Vortech kit, dyno it and then add the headder and have it re tuned/dyno'd.

Proof is everything, what you have besides that is nothing at all...
