Help with EMU,Boomslang and VTEC
I am having a problem with moving the VTEC crossover with an EMU and boomslang harness.
As far as I can tell there are no problems with the harness as it came from boomslang (air and water harness). The vtec wires seem to be routed as they should be.
The car still changes over at 6k but have no success with moving it.
Is it correct that the Boomslang needs NO modification for moving the crossover point?
Things to double check?
Thanks.
John

Did you check the jumper settings inside the EMU,
I have a theory right now but I need to go do another data log and take a look. The first ones I did were lousy.
If the harness is wired correct and the jumpers are correct, and the auxillary out put map is used, It is probably working. I didint think mine was working either, untill I changed the cross over to 3000 rpm, It was easier to feel it then. Also if you do data log, you will need to set the vtec in map as well as the auxillary out map.
John
My original thought was that possible you did not have the TPS voltage tagged since the vtec map is using the TPS % as the control point is not valid because I can see a TPS % in the data logs.
Check to see if you are running 2.20 firmware on both the lap top and your ULT.
When I opened up the flash I had you send me I noticed some cells in the Auxiliary Map have changed.
I am assuming you have not changed any of these

Mark,
I did change the cells in the output map just to see if lowering the throttle position would make it kick over. I saved that in a seperate file, and tried it on the car, but the version in the EMU is back to the original.
I just did not have that original file handy when I was emailing you so I sent you that one. But the cells in the aux output map that I changed are the ONLY things that have been altered.
I will have to doublecheck to see if I have the V2.2. I thought I updated the laptop with the latest version, not sure if I ever changed any firmware on the EMU and would have to consult the manual.
