I want to put together a turbo kit for under 2000. Is it possible? I'm not trying to go crazy. I just want around 8 lbs. Can you guys give me links and names of parts. Manifold, turbo, intercooler kit. I'm going to run aem ems when I'm all done. Thanks

 

There is so much information to be red only in the stickies of the FI section. You should do that and then figure out what you want, cause a turbo setup is not just alike any other turbosetup. It all depends on how you decide to do it.

Since you want the 8psi range my suggestion is to keep things flow efficient for max gains. Out of all the parts you need for a turbosetup the exhaustside will play the biggest role in determining how efficient your setup will make power from 8psi. That basically means, look at the following:

- tubular exhaustmanifold (A proven one tho, because at 8psi there will be high demands on the WG line to avoid boostcreep.)

- a decent turbo (I like the gt3076r myself, but i know there are plenty of alternatives, do not choose a too small A/R)

- a flowing exhaust.

for 2g's? your going to have to go with all used parts and even with that your gunna struggle to put it all together for 2g's. check the F/I for sale thread to find prices on used parts.
