I am posting this here since I figure most likely if you have the serial gauge you are FI.

Ok does anyone know where I need to wire the loose wires to?

First there is the orange and brown wires that comes from the 8 pin plug that goes into the back of the gauge

 

The two separate wires(orange/ brown) are for your warning lights if you choose to use them.

You really need to read the manual, and load the software if you want to use your gauge:
