hey everyone, i currently have a turbo setup and before i get into what i want to do next with this car, first you need to hear my long story.. (hope you dont get bored im very detailed)

I originally had blue rsx type s with a system, suspension, and way much more, and a supercharger i recently got put on at the time by my then mechanic/ former friend. Had this car for a year and just got the supercharger on for maybe 3 weeks. SO one night all my friends decide to go to Stanford Ct to check out the bars out there, i say cool i'll drive. Once we got there I told them im not drinking if im driving. Then my mechanic friend says nah its cool drink ill drive back home. I say okay but dont drink. he agreed. (he prob did anyways and yeah i put too much trust into people). so the bars in CT close at 2. So he drove, i wasnt even drunk, and as soon as he hit the highway he guns it. does over 130 and then he downshifts. mind you he downshifts into a wrong gear and the revs go all the way up. next thing i know i hear a loud boom. which i thought he blew the motor. moments later there a fire by the window and coming from under the hood. he blew it so bad my engine caught on fire. no way to put it out. it was too hot to find the lever and i burned my hand. all that hard work went in flames. first time i cried over a possession. just the thought of all the money i put in, that insurance wont cover just got to me. all the hours at work making money to hook up my car is gone. so im pissed ready to fight this friend. he goes i swear on my daughters that ill pay what insurance wont cover i go just pay the supercharger which i still owed cause i used my credit card to get it. he goes okay. once i told the insurance company my mom drove it since it was under her name and this douche didnt have a valid license which i didn't know until the car burned down and the cops were coming so i couldn't say he drove it. there was no police report awkwardly.he took a ride with the tow truck company and had the car stored at his house. dosent apologize or nothing. days go by. and i tried contacting him and it was difficult cause he had no phone and his parents were pissed at him. i finally get in touch with him and he goes the insurance company covered your car why should i pay you? i go yeah the covered the car not the stuff i put into it... and you agreed to pay me back , he goes i got no money. WHatever we nearly came to a fight at a neutral friends house when this argument was going on cause he was avoiding my calls and the only time i had a chance to see him when i knew he was going to be at another friends house he didnt know i was there. so i go to him and say speak into the tape recorder and say your going to pay me back that way WHEN YOU LIE AND DONT PAY ME BACK I CAN PLAY BACK YOUR OWN BULLSHIT AND YOU YOURSELF CAN HEAR YOUR NOT A MAN OF YOUR WORD. he flips on me and says im trying to set him up to the cops etc. etc. i go how ? i cant go to the cops or accused u because my mom took the blame for it. anyways i say you know what karma is a bitch and when it gets you, you'll know. mind you the same week my car burned i didnt leave the house for 3 weeks depressed and my cousin decided to drag me out on thanksgiving to cheer me up. we drank a lot before the club and at the club. i got drunk and some dude pick a fight with me cuz his girl was talking to me. i got kick out. im waliking the street alone, and see a lot of hondas everywhere and i remember saying the next honda i see im going to kick the shit out of it.( i know its ****ed up and i regret it but i was drunk) so thats all i remember next thing you know i wake up hungover in a jail cell. i had no clue why i was in there...?? i asked the cop and no one would even respond to me. not to be racist but they were white. then a spanish cop came to relief the white cop. he told me i was in here for hitting a car.i was like if it was a honda i already know why. then he told me it was. i was like wow. i dont remember nothing. the police report said i hit the bumper with my fist and feet. but then after a year of court. this owner of the car got me for 4000 buck. he got a inflated estimate. and i was forced to pay it because i was facing a felony and if i paid it they would of dropper to a disorderly conduct. but if i took it to trial i would loose cause i did hit it but they had to prove i did more than 250 bucks of damage to prove there case. SO I WAS STUCK. I PAID IT. and learn a lesson. you dont have to drive a car in order to get in trouble. i used to think bad things only happen when drinking and driving. bad things can happen when just being drunk and thank god i didnt kill anyone or something worst. to be fair everthing was my fault i shouldnt of never taken my anger on a innocent park car and even though this guy got me for more money than i actually had to pay i cant be mad at him he is doing what any other person would do.

i bought my s2000 3 months after blue rsx burned down and not knowing how much in restitution i had to pay for the kicking the parked car incident. thinking it was no more than a thousand for a bumper. so i decided the next car im getting will be a two seater that way i have less seats to drive douchbag friends around. i came across the s2000. i love the light on it. which caught my eye also. went on craigslist and i was sort of split on the acura tl and the s2000. i found a s2000 with a turbo which i never experience. met this owner which was a clubmember i later found out. this is his link when he was trying to sell the car which i ended up finding on craigslist. i guess he tried selling on the forums also. THE GUY I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM (WHO WAS SHADY IF YOU READ WHATS ON THIS LINK)

So on the day of the sell i realize maybe the s2000 has a forum like the rsx had. i found this site. to my amazment i found the link above on the day of the sell. i was turned off and was ready to cancel sort of. i was 50/50 on what to do. the seller kept saying it was a angry person who tried to buy his car and didnt allow him to push the car to 9 rpms. which is understandable for me at the time after what happen to me and my car and having other people drive it. so i went on with the deal. Then its funny he came to my house sign the papers and when he left he calls me right after he leave and says do u got a jack i got a flat tire. right away i thought that was a bad sign. like i was going to have something wrong with this car. 3 months into the car i enjoyed my s2000. no problem what so ever. check the oil always. everything was fine.

one day coming back from school i did like 100, i had to go to work. went inside my house to change into my uniform and turned on the car. i right away i hear a clicking noise which grew louder as the acceleration went higher. so after talking to billman i concluded i need a new short block better yet, a used engine. after researching i found out that Jeff was also a great mechanic and the best two on this site living by the metropolitan area. Billman was too far in long island and jeff was way closer. a hour away as opposed to 2 hours and 45 min to get to bill. so he jeff did the swap. on arriving the car sounded so great. i was happy. Jeff worn me that i should soon switch a hose that connects to oil filter i asked would it get loose? and he said no. i had to drive to pa to get it tuned. so i left jeffs and went to pa to evans tuning. went to get it tuned and wanted to be more reliable so i told him to do it at 13 psi. i got 330hp at 13psi. he said my HKS exhausted restricted me a lot. i agreed it was a quiet exhaust. so i left happy once again. as soon as i reached the PA highway back to new jersey my check oil light came on later found out its called the dummy light. cause once its on your car engine is gone. as soon as that light came on the check engine light came on. i stopped right away turned off the car and found oil all over the place. the ticking noise was back. the same one i had the previous engine which led to my car blowing up. so i was so shocked and said this type of shit only happens to me. the same hose Jeff warned me about came out. i called jeff and he came right away. like a hour and half away in pa. he check it out and couldnt figure out how and put a new hose and added oil. i hit the gas and the same thing happpen!!!!! So he was telling me about the braided lines and the oil gauge. in my head i was like great i should of had this sooner but im such a noob and dont know shit about cars other then driving them.

so i had to buy another engine from the same person. Jeff was great and helped out a lot. and this time we did everything. right. the car is running. and everything is fine. After driving at that setting i learn that i want at least 400 hp. thats my goal. i want to get a boost controller and be able to switch between a 13psi setting for everyday driving and then switch to a higher psi. Jeff told me that with head work, and a 3inch exhaust, tune, my turbo should be able to make that 400hp. my question is can the block handle 400 hp. I really dont want to ending up having major problems. been through a lot of money and dont mind spending it to upgrade but its hard to imagine putting a lot of money into something that will end up failing. thanks and any input would be great. thanks for reading this essay. peace.

I just read that whole bunch of bs to answer if an F2x can hold 400 or not?


yes, it can hold upwards of 500(I think closer to 600 but I don't like to chance things) at 400 you may want to upgrade the diff if you plan on beating on it or running a lot of rubber in the back. of course you will need a new clutch as well.

and use the search, it's your friend.

 

also a 3076(that is what you have? correct?) should be able to put out much more than 400 and IMHO headwork is completely unnecissary and wasteful at those power levels. the F2x head flows incredibly well and really doesn't need any work for those power levels- at most I would say throw in a set of AP2 retainers.

 

yeah i got a brand new stage 4 clutch on it. do you think its worth getting a tubular turbo manifold ?
