and there are other methods than an EMS to control injectors.
Yes in fact there is separate injector controllers available, either a single port injection into the intake or a multi point running one injector into each intake runner or fuel rail. The issue with this is since you have no external engine management you have no control over retarding timing, the water/meth injection on the other hand allows you to not need this since it gives you a much wider margin of safety against detonation and thus you can run the stock timing map and make maximum power, not to mention the other safety and performance attributes of a cooler and cleaner engine.

i am biased to this. becuase how far are you gonna push a stock motor without proper ways to control it.

i had a built motor in a civic, and it blew up becuase i didnt have a stand alone to tune it. instead i opted for vafc, msd boost retard, fmu

its dumb. you spend money to boost your expensive car, yet cheap out on tuning.

ok, so aem ems is at least a g, then buy a greddy emu. i think those go for around 500 used. u gain so much tuning ability its well worth it. for anyone that says ems is 2k, listen, no need to buy new. i bought mine used off this board, theres plenty of deals in the for sale forum.

u wont be disapointed with a full stand alone, only pleased.

just curious because I live in california, but I know I will eventually get an AEM EMS. And yes I know it voids the carb, but nobody will know except me and my tuner lol. It will be a pain($$$) detuning/uninstall the EMS for smog, but oh well gotta pay to play.
