Default How to check head gasket?

I have fears that my head gasket is blown. The car doesn't use water, and the oil seems fine. No "mayonnaise" or anything under oil filler cap/valve cover or anything. But, as soon as I do some full throttle pulls the water temp rises rather quickly. I tried a couple of pulls on the last ride now to take a look at the water temp while doing this, and it seems the overflow tank filled up as well. Headgasket, or possibly air in the system? How can I find out the easiest way?

Compression test, leak down test, oil analysis to see if there is coolant mixed in with it...

FullRace Prostreet/Stage 2. Garret GT3076R, FullRace intercooler. Stock cooling system until now, but just changed to Mishimoto triple core radiator. Still struggeling with air in the system...

Compression test is normally a dead give away of a blown gasket. One or more of the cylinders will have significantly lower numbers.

Try a leak down test and take the rad cap off if the head gasket is blown you'll get air bubbles in the rad.

My water temp gauge was acting silly, my coolant tank was fluctuating too much, and my heater was acting funny I knew my headgasket was going out, so I replaced it last week now everything is perfect. I didn't even check compression just do it. I went 2.5 years 20,000 miles on my headgasket I'm happy with that
