Default How did u guys install your log manifold/turbo

Hey guys I have the speedcraft kit. pretty much the same setup at the manifold/turbo/wg part as UR or inlinepro. I'm trying to put all 3 in at the same time, and it's not fitting. My friend bent his a/c lines before putting all 3 in at the same time but i'm not able to do that. How did you guys put yours in? did you slide it in from the bottom or did you have to put them in separately? I want to keep at least the turbo/manifold together since it is really hard to get to some of the bolts once it's on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Steven

I did my manifold and turbo together install when I had the UR kit but didn't have the WG on. I pulled the VTEC oil pressure switch off that sticks off the engine and just kinda positioned the setup in different orientations from the front of the engine and just kept trying until I finally got it in.

Yes, just unscrew the the oil pressure switch (22mm or 7/8 wrench will get it) after you unplug it. The only thing you have to watch for is the o-ring on the sealing faces.

BTW, if you're using an AEM EMS, you can remove this oil pressure switch permanently and put a bolt in it's place.

i was actually taking about the vtec swtich. but i took that off and the wastegate off, and it went on without any problems. thanks guys! Now, if I'm temporarily using the Vortech FMU w/ my turbo until i save up enough for a EMS, what should i connect the vacuum hoses on the FMU to? the manifold like the manual says or to my boost reference?

And to the OP you can DEF work it in there after removing the oil cooler and other stuff that needs to come off anyway.
but DO NOT remove the timing gear tensioner. LEAVE IT ALONE!
