Default How much boost is safe for stock engine

Ok. Looking to get a vortec on my s2k. I'm trying not to go too crazy with this car. I just want some more speed.

How much boost is safe for a stock 2000 s2000?

I don't really want to upgrade to a EMS or build the engine. I do'nt want to sacrifice any reliabilty either......

The stock Vortech or Comptech kit is designed to work safely and reliably on a stock S2000 engine. Since you don't plan on going with the EMS, I guess this means you are not going to "tinker" with the stock S/C kit. In this case, don't worry about it. Those kits were made for this car and the standard boost it comes with has been reliable for many, many cars for years.

I think for the purpose of the Vortech discussion, these terms are interchangeable. Aftercooler or intercooler .................. people have called the VT one both.

so if I decide to want more power, I can't just bolt on a smaller pulley wheel?

will I have to do EMS? upgrade injectors?
