Default How much have you spent?

So I have been slowly piecing a kit together for my car, and while there are good deals to be had on new/used parts, it doesn't take long to realize what an investment going turbo (the right way) really is.

The more and more I look and add parts to my spreadsheet, the more I realize I'm quickly approaching the 10K mark.

Wondering what you guys have spent? Ballpark estimates are fine as I know parts come and go as you upgrade, but I think this would be a good thread to put it in perspective for people that are new to the game.

While I am not new to FI honda's this is my first s2000 build, and while it's not really the difference in price in the parts for me as you can build a very expensive civic as well , but more so that I only want to provide my S with the best of the best.

So let the tears flow, and wallets/wives cringe.

Who has dropped what? And where has it gotten you?

Ballpark estimate probably almost $5,500... Thats a fullblown stage 1 kit w/ a 5857. Including AEM EMS, the tune, and the minimal welding I had done.

This got me to 400whp reliably, and a fun to drive s2000

I want to upgrade to a pfab elt tho.

~12k, it got me the power in my sig, with room to grow, and the ability to pass emissions no problem.

I wish I wouldn't have wasted 2k on having a shop do the initial install (a waste because I spent the next year fixing things that weren't done correctly).

Just about $10k total with both setups. Im on my 2nd turbo setup and 2nd engine.
First setup was a garrett t3/t4 on a revhard with aem ems/dw800cc injectors and pieced together pieces. Made 318 whp about $4500 into it with tune.
2nd setup is in my Sig. Ran it low on oil(oil cap popped off on a 1 hr drive while street tuning.) My #4 cylinder scored and I had the oppurtunity to get another engine put in.

I spent a good 6k+ on everything (SC, installs, retunes, KPRO, all the works.)

It got me a 135i after I sold everything.

Well, everything is a lot more expensive here in Norway, but I have receipts for parts and work (getting tuned etc) that total what the car cost brand new here.
