Default How much power can an act Hdss clutch take

I'm upgrading my kit to a mase manifold with a gt3076r. I plan to make about 400whp on pump and 500 plus on ease gas

Will the act street hdss clutch handle this?
What clutch do u recommend ? I want a clutch that is good for driving the car every day in stop and go traffic

It should hold it. But i rather have too much clutch than not enough. I have a CC stg 4 and the pedal is soft like stock and really easy to daily drive.

I made 450/295 on my clutch maters rage 3 setup. It's a disk clutch mated to an ap1 flywheel. Hold fine.

U will be fine. Tq kills clutches. We don't make a lot of it lol.

Get the ACT clutch with oem disc and a lightweight flywheel. I got the 11.5lb flywheel and car drives like stock. 544whp and 346trq no problems. I had a CC stg 4 clutch and it was the worst POS ever. Do not get a puck clutch if you like driving your car!

My cc stage 4 is pretty easy to drive. It's a little grabby but I got used to it after a few stop lights.

Why the oem disc? What's wring with the full face organic act clutch disc?

Some people have had clutch buzz and some have not. No buzz with oem.

Im at 421/308 with the ACT HDSS with no problems whatsoever. Pedal feel is slightly stiffer than stock.

Have there ever been any thrust bearing issues with the act clutch for an s2000?

I know there was a lot when I was in the DSM world. Those bearings did not like the extra load from the act pressure plates.

2 years irresponsible abuse, countless dyno pulls @ 400whp+, and absolutely no problems with the full ACT setup. I think you're safe
