How to prime turbo
Ok, so I am going to be receiving my turbo back from Precision. They found that the bearings were scorn pretty bad, possibly from contaminated oil? I have checked everything out and have no signs of contamination in the oil. I also let it idle down for a bit before shutting down. I never primed that turbo, nor the Greddy when I installed it.
With all that said, I want to start off right this time around. So how do you prime these turbos?

doesnt it prime when you prime the oil system. turn the crank with a 1/2inch drive or a crank pulley tool. oil pump spins wiht the motor, so manually turning the motor will cuase oil to flow.
dry fireing the motor i dont beleive is the best way to do this.

I pull my fuel pump fuse under the dash (drivers side).
Crank the motor over 6-8times, put it back in, fire her up.
Or if your anal, take a small abount and pour into the turbo feed to get it coated, spin the impeller and connect it all up, fire her up and do work.

take the spark plugs out, unplug the cam sensors and turn the engine over till the oil light goes off.. same as priming the oil system with a new motor.
the engine wont build up any oil pressure unless you take the plugs out, the starter can spin it over much faster w/the plugs out.

but if the motor is not new, nothing wrong with doing it to get some oil up in the turbo.

Yep - that's 2 of the better ways to prime the turbo.
If you're paranoid about it you can also have the turbo oil outlet hose discharge into a clear water bottle and if you see oil pouring into it, it's primed!
