Default Hybridsol's Trackforged kit install/build thread

Well, finally getting her boosted. Working on this car has been a trial in patience, esp for a barbarian like me.

Anyway, as I look back, it should have taken me no where as long as it did to install the kit, but there are many steps/parts/locations that you can't do unless the thing before it (or after) is done- like the turbo can't be installed with the VTEC switch removed . Not knowing this makes for slow and repetitive work...

As far as the kit goes, it's a great design, and a good compromise between the dual scroll mega power setups and the meh of a log.

The one thing I would caution anyone about installing this (or other) kits is you will remove/cut more things out of the car than maybe you would like for a clean install...

Heat wrap/tape is like that joke “When the only the only tool you have is a hammer, everthing end up looking like a nail”- it's easy to get carried away

Trackforged can provide you everything you want. Be specific and ask- write it down first. I ended up using a different intercooler because I didn't want to remove the crash bar in the front- something I didn't know they offered. They worked with me 100% on this, and were willing all the way...

Lastly, thanks to all on this board.

1000cc ID's
Aero 340
3076 water cooled Trackforged turbo kit, heatwrap, ceramic coated (in and out) pipes/manifold
Anodized intercooler (small)
Kpro
Hondata 4-bar
Stock block
Stock drivetrain (clutch to! Yikes!)
Stock exhaust
PLX wideband

Pic dump!

looking good. I cant wait for the dyno. I am currently installing this manifold myself. On my car I don't think there is from for me to take out the oil filter without taking out the turbo and downpipe.

Agreed. Otherwise, looks like a nice setup. What are your hp goals? Going to hit the track at all?

Thanks all..

Not sure about HP at the moment... got a few bugs to work out yet. Looking for above 300 right now.

For the clutch, funds ran out, so FML. Will run around 5 psi for now until next year. I won't beat on it too much until the- ok not true, I hope the stock clutch to last about 6 mo or so until $$ becomes avail next year when the 8.8 rear can go in.

And not too worried about repeated install.. did that putting it in!(1st time I installed turbo on S2k) It really isn't that bad with all the v-vand clamps. I think the tranny pull is much harder on the garage floor...

As soon as the kinks are worked out, I'll schedule Evans date and take it from there...
