Default I figured I would share my Kraftwerks results!

Hello All,
Im fairly new to the forum, but Ive been in the scene for many years. I just wanted to show and compare my results with the Kraftwerks Supercharger kit that I recently installed onto my 07 S2000.

I bought the kit used from another member on S2ki.com. The kit was in alright shape. Not too bad considering what I paid. (traded a set of work wheels and $2500)
Anyway, most of the kit was pre-assembled. So not a lot of fabrication work was necessary. The hardest part was basically bolting everything together. It apparently was the "High-Boost kit" that goes to 12psi, so as a precautionary measure, I bought a Science of Speed 4 bar MAP sensor. Along with that, I bought a Deatchwerks 320lph fuel pump and a set of CCT 1000cc Injectors. Considering I own the shop, I get a good discount /> , I think they cost me $free.99

So I finally get everything installed. Clutch, flywheel, SC kit, injectors, pump, etc. Now its dyno time. Here at Charm City Tuning, I have a DynoJet 224X chassis dyno that I use on a daily basis to tune customer cars and my own. I was expecting probably mid-300 HP and about 225 torque. But to my surprise, this thing put down 431Hp and 268tq. WOW. Im impressed.

In the datalog, I saw at most 12.2PSI boost. I tuned it pretty conservatively. Using Hondata FlashPro, I tuned it to 11.7-11.9 AFR in the highest load, and about 18 deg timing advance at those same loads. I guess my question is this... Do I have a freak motor that just makes power? or is this normal HP for this setup? Anyone care to chime in and share their results, please do. Thanks!!

Hello!

Those are really good results. My car is always tuned on a 224x as well. However I believe that the reason you are at 12+psi is because of the s/c's drive pulley...the high boost kit is at 10lbs from KW (100mm drive pulley for high boost AP2)...not 12. I would check the dia. of the pulley to see for sure but I would bet that it is 90mm.

What other mods does this car have?...it it stock? How high are you reving it to? 431whp / 268wtq seems high for even a 90mm pulley.

The KW kit comes with a 10 psi pulley for a high boost kit. Very good numbers, though. Guessing you are on 93 octane? Sounds about right on 93 octane for 12 psi. My car also liked 11.7 a/f ratio for peak power and performance. I had my tuner richen it up a touch(11.3-11.4) to cool the combustion chamber a bit since I'm planning to take my car to the track and beat on it rigorously.

93 octane, really chilly night/day while tuning + nice tight/strong motor...I think it's possible to make those numbers.

Yea...i would agree regarding the HP number...but if he logged 12.2psi that is very much reminicent of the 90mm pulley. The 85 netted about 13.9psi.

Isn't the blower being overspun at over 10psi? I remember when kraftwerks first came out they ended up lowering the redline on the reflash cars because it was overspining the blower. Also they never came out with higher boost pulleys as initially promised.

This guy's tuner was making more boost on on his kraftwerks AP1 with E85 and a custom pulley..

Yes you are correct...per Rotrex's specified 100,000rpm limit on the C30-94 unit (the one in the KW kit). The revlimiter was originally at 8500 (AP2) and later it got lowered to 8200. I currently have mine at 8300 with Flashpro. I was planning to give the 90mm pulley a try before the end of summer but I never got the time...I might try again in the spring.
