Default I need help with EMS base map

I'm finishing up the install now, and I need a map to start the car. I believe there is a supercharger map on it now and need to switch it over. I am running RC1000's, a turbonetics T04r, lovefab V1 manifold, EMS 1052U, AEM serial gauge, etc. If any other info is needed I can get you that asap. I just need a map that will allow my car to get back home, and then to the tuner on Monday.

If anyone has 700-800cc injectors, would your map work if I switched over the injectors to my 1000 in the settings and would it change all the settings accordingly? This is all very new to me. I need a map sometime this weekend so I can go pick up my car. I don't have the AEM software on my laptop yet, I assume I could just download the file and then install the software to open it? I don't need it installed first before I download the file right?

Also, I need to put the new fuel pump in, I'll check the DIY section to see if there's an install thread but how is it put in if not? My trunk is gutted so I should have easy access.

Thanks so much!!!

Justin

Just get it towed to the tuner.

That's going to be at least 100 dollars to tow - as it's probably a 1 hour drive. I figured I'd just get a map to start the car and check the AF levels and make sure I don't go lean, and keep it under 3K.

Anyone? PLEASE?!?!?

I know that Mainstream Performance have done several tunes on S2000's. They did do that build on that 600hp S2K. Maybe TurboDave can hook you up with a basemap. Isn't that where you're going for your tune? If not, then nevermind what I said.

^I'm calling Balanced tomorrow to see if they can get me in sometime next week, if not, it'll be Mainstream as I originally planned.

If you can get a basemap it should be ok assuming your not boosting any.

I have a friend locally with a very similar setup to me (lovefab GT1) with 750cc's and he said he'd give me his basemap. How easy (or hard) is it to switch to my 1000ccs? How can he send it to me? He said he doesn't have the map on his comp, but in his EMS.

if the maps is for 750's and you have 1000's thats a big jump...... that thing is going to be pig rich. even start?

I cannot help you sorry, is it as easy as switching one setting telling it what injectors you have? or do you have to modify the whole basemap?

Yeah I have no idea - as far as I know there "could" be a box saying

Injectors:

and you enter in what size they are. Yeah... I know that's not how it works but I have NO IDEA how it is. I've never had an aftermarket EMS or forced induction before and this is all new to me!

If anyone could at least give me an idea of what the hell I'm talking about so I'd have a better understanding that'd be killer.

The basemap that comes with the ems should be enough to get close to starting. then you have to adjust the fuel trim for your injectors. if you don't know how to do this then it wil be worth the money to have it towed to the tuner shop or rent a Uhaul dolly. I still wouldn't drive the car without some kind of tune on it. even with just a start map you can wreck the motor and then some. Be safe.
