I need to vent.
I feel your pain; modding cars can be an endless series of headaches. But if you think of each challenge in terms of how much faster the car (or you) will be, it can lessen the frustration somewhat.
For example, I swapped my clutch out Saturday afternoon. (Removed the ACT 'cuz it buzzes so much, and put the SOS back in.) Finally got the transmission in place, raised the engine to the normal position and was ready to button things up when I discovered that I had the release fork in backwards. This is the point where I coulda set the car on fire. Instead, I almost laughed, and immediately wondered how much faster I could get the trans off & on the second time 'round. The answer turned out to be 3.5 hours, which is hella slow for most people but was a huge improvement on my previous time.

Sounds like this story needs more beer, lol. Hope things get better man. Frustration tends to lead to things getting broken. If you get frustrated, walk away, wash your hands, have a drink, then get back to it.
I was working on a buddys car over the weekend installing some cams. Shoulda been east right? Well, we snapped a cam bolt. Shit happens. You just gotta stay calm, even take a break from it. Then go about fixing the problem with the end goal always on your mind.
Welcome to the car club
Wish I was dealing with your problem.
Take a break and a breath. Then drop the diff on your face and blow out an eye socket to take your mind of things for a bit. Reassess ownership of the car and then come back to it with a fresh perspective after your done healing.
It could always be worse
