IAT Sensor after boost
Ok so I have a quick question about IAT sensors. I am running a 2006 DBW boosted s2000 and I originally had the sensor before the turbo but it does not seem to be as accurate as it could be.
I talked to the tuner and I am going to relocate it just before the throttle body.
Anyhow here is the question, my sensor is not air tight as it goes into a grommet normally in the airbox, looks like this...

So when I relocate the sensor I am assume it needs to be airtight, has anyone had to replace this sensor and if so what did you use.
Input is always good, been trying to search the board but its a hard topic it seems.
I did find that people report some sensors have a different temperature scale and as I am using flashpro I don’t think there is a correction table.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

You can buy a bung from kraftwerks to weld on your charge pipe, make a custom one, use a tight fitting rubber grommet if your keeping the boost low, or switch to a threaded iat. The simplest is probably the kraftwerks bung, or a rubber grommet.
I am selling the t1 iat sensor WITH the bung on my for sale page in the link where my signature is if youre interested
Here is a Pic, sorry for the delay.
So basically this came in aluminum.. to bad my piping for intake is steel.. Ok so bout a pipe adapter and some hose got it done.. Worth every penny.. Hot side 140F cold site 90F.. it was a very hot day..
