I'd 1000 issue
Went to prime the car yesterday and of course I started smelling gas check all the injectors were leaking where they met the rail. Ive never seen a injector that doesn't have a groove for the oring to sit in like these so I just want to make sure these are the correct injectors. I originally didn't use any lubricant when I put the injectors in and as the injectors got further into the rail it gets really snug and a piece of the oring starts to twist causing it not to seal. I'm gunna try my petroleum jelly method like I have in the past but just seeing if anyone else had this issue? Never have seen injectors like this that there no actual groove for the oring itself tho thought it was weird

You should always lubricate the injector seals upon installation. I have always just used oil.
As far as the groove... Although I have not installed ID1000's on an S2000, I have installed many sets on different cars and they've always had somewhere for the o-ring to set without giving any chance for it to pop out of place. With fuel pressure on the rail, everything should be pushing down so I would venture to say that seals were damanged from a dry installation or they're binding because they are dry causing it not to seal.

None o em were ripped but you can see where they weren't sitting flush but I have new orings so I'll replace em with lube this time. I just wanted to make sure they were the right ones. where the metal piece meets the black plastic on the upper part of the injector is we're the oring sits correct?
