Torque Obsessed

So, we tried to install my ID1000's on Friday but I had forgotten to bring along the OEM injectors. My tuner realized that the ID1000's were not seating firmly in the manifold (there was lots of room for them to wobble around). We looked at the instructions and it seems that we were supposed to re-use the OEM lower cushions. Since I had left the OEM injectors at home (I'm still running RC550's), we weren't able to install the ID1000's.

Before I go back to get these installed, I'd like your help to make sure I've got the correct parts and am installing them right. The instructions call for part 16472-P10-A01, and those are $8.89 each from Majestic. I'd rather re-use my existing stuff if possible.

Question #1: Below is a pic of an OEM injector and an ID1000 sitting on top of the ID1000 install instructions. Does this look like the correct ID1000 for an AP1 (2003)?




Question #2: In this pic, I've moved what I think is the "lower cushion" from the OEM injector to the ID1000. Is that correct?




Question #3: Is there anything else I need to know, or do, to make these work?

Just install on top of the big donut injector washers from the factory injectors.
#2 is correct.

I had the same issue when I first installed mine, don't forget the washers they come with either without both the injectors will never seat correctly.

Just got mine a few weeks ago and went through the same questions....weird to me that they use a cushion on top of a cushion lol

I've been using the RC rings to stack it on (not a good idea) while I wait for my cushions.

they only sent me 3 washers . was this correct?

That should be correct. I also only got 3 washers and was a bit confused, butChris from NLM says they are for the fuel rail bolts. I have not installed mine yet.

The three washers are for the fuel rail cause with the two cushions and difference in injectors makes the height slightly different. I put them under the fuel rail studs....like actually under the stud up against the intake manifold. Much cleaner

hahah glad i clicked on this thread awkward mine were wobbling around so i just tightened the fuel rail haha seems to be fine.. guess i better order those cushions
