Default ID1000s Fitment issue

Ok so this car has really been a nightmare for me this time around. I have a new problem, that stopped me from starting her last night.

I put all the injectors on the fuel rail then I installed the rail. The injectors seemed to be loose on the intake manifold side. I decided to tighten the rail down and see if that would tighten them up. With the rail is tightened I can move the injector side to side on the intake manifold side. It seems like they are not seating properly. I decided to try without the spacers that were provided and still the same problem. Am I missing something on my intake manifold? Should there be some sort of gromet in the manifold to help seat these? I have not seen the stock injectors in while as I had RCs before. The car also has been down for two years now.

Thanks
Martin

Mine are able to be twisted around too. But I haven't had any issues with it.

With my ID2000 injectors, I had to reuse the stock grommet/o-rings that were in the intake manifold. The rubber o-ring on the bottom of the injector sealed against the grommet/o-ring in the intake manifold. They're like 8 bucks from Honda. Not expensive.

Also, with mine, there were 3 cheapo washers. The washers are to be put inbetween the studs for the fuel rail and the fuel rail to raise the fuel rail a little bit.

This is the part number you will want to get for the grommets/o-rings if your car is an 00-05. You will need 4; one for each injector.

Thanks everyone!!! I am off to honda once again haha.

I am trying Daryl lol this has truely been a nightmare for me. One thing after another. Daryl do you have a vacuum port on you compressor housing? I would love to see how your vacuum lines are routed for the boost solenoid. Its been years since I set mine up. Want to make sure it is hooked up correctly.

Martin, you have to use the oem seals that sit down in the intake manifold along with the seals on the injectors. They sandwich together and seal very well. One thing too, if they seem to smash together too much, put a washer under the 3 fuel rail bolts at the manifold side to raise the fuel rail up a bit so you wont have so much of a smash on the two seals. I had to do this with my ID2000's but you may get away with not doing it with your ID1000's. Just use good judgement on how much those seals get smashed when you go to tighten the rail down and if it seams like too much, put the washers in to relieve it some. They dont need to smash but about 1/8" or so to seal good.

I have the spacers for them Chadd. I just got back from Honda, not bad at $1.90 each. I have no idea where I put my oem seats. I guess they were not needed with my rc injectors. I do not recall removing anything, although that was about 5 years ago so who knows. Hopefully will be here by Tuesday at latest. So I'll have her running by then.

I am a bit disappointed as I just got off the phone with AMS about my tune. I really wanted to start the car to make sure there are no issues with the car before I scheduled my tune, as AMS takes a deposit which I did not want to loose. The soonest they could fit me in is September 2nd. Kind of a problem since the car has to pass emissions by the end of the month, needs to happen for me to be able to renew my registration.

Daryl in the basemap you gave me, are all the parameters set up to pass emissions? Not sure exactly what has to be done but something along the lines of having the obd2 port active, air pump disabled, etc... Maybe I could take the car on the basemap to pass emissions.

Yes everything is setup to pass emmissions. The only problem I had with the kpro is its says I have a primary 02 sensor low voltage problem. I changed the sensor with another and still the same problem. Mase truned off theprimary o2 sensor so no more CEL. This has nothing to do with your wideband.

It is easy to turn back on. If you do not know then call me.
