turbo is a Turbonetics T04B obviously if it says it on the CHAR stamp. lol

a t04b is a t3 turbine housing/turbine with a T04E cover. also known a "super 60". basically its a 60-1 with a less aggressive turbine.

thats a nice intercooler btw. ntice how the front face and rear face of the intercooler "plates" are rounded. on cheap CX racing and ebay ones, the bar and plate front face and rear faces are flat. and that yields less aerodynamics and flow. looks like a Spearco intercooler to me. about 400-500 in value. if not, its a damn good knock off.

the manifold, on the other hand, isnt worth a dead moose's last shit. that massive long pipe leading to the wg isnt gonna flow jack-shit and you are gonna get boost creep like a SOB.

Would you say the whole thing is worth 900?

Thanks for the great replies, i'm trying to soak it all in. I'd rather go supercharged anyways for the piece of mind.

That compressor is NOT a 60-1. 60-1 compressor wheels have 7 pairs of blades. This one has 6.

A T04B turbo has its own series of compressor wheels. Turbonetics did also offer a lot of the T04E series of compressor wheels in T04B compressor covers as well.

The only way to know for sure is to pull the compressor housing off, take a pair of calilpers, and measure the inducer and exducer diameters of the compressor wheel. Once you get those measurements I can look it up for you.

who said it was a 60-1?

a 60-1 is a 59mm wheel, hence the 60 MINUS 1. it also has the T04S cover in a .70 Ar with 4" in/2.5" out. cant really mistake that.....

the T04b-e can have numerous trims based off of preference also.

data being said, that turbo is worth about 5-600 used, non ball-bearingn and just selling it as a turbinetics T04B. look at the base of the turbine housing mounting flange and it will have an AR for the turbine housing as well. then, you'll have all the info you need to sell it. id price it all at $1200 or best offer.

the dinosaurs used that bov on their SkyRhines....

Maybe I mistook your original quote

There is a "HiFi 60-1" which used a 60-1 compressor wheel in a T04B comp cover. The one pictured isn't it though.

yeah.

the b has very similar characteristics as a 60-1 because it is so close in specs. but the turbine is less aggressive for one and the AR on the compressor is also less aggressive with a milder wheel. but everything else performance and flow-wise is very similar.

i consider the t04b a milder 60-1 by its attributes.
