Default If I go FI what about the diff?

First of all, YES I ran a search but I am obviously searching in the wrong forum because the results I get talk mostly of gear sets. My question is, if I decide on an SC for my S will the stock diff need to be upgraded? The ONLY reason I am asking is because I think that I read this somewhere in a thread. I hope I am wrong but maybe ya'll can help.

Thanks

Pat

No, there are numerous individuals on this forum who have a Forced Induction S2000 running on the stock differential problem free. However some have occured not one but many different situations where they have broken pieces inside their differential.

All in all - it comes down to driving habits. If you are one to slam gears, launch the car, and drive very aggressively - I may recommend atleast a cryo-treatment of your gears.
However if you occassionally beat up on the car but for the most part take things lightly - you should be fine!

Just remember, routine maintenance is key - change your diff fluid reguarly!

Thanks Chad, much appreciated. Just got my Comptech cat back shipping notification and am shopping for an SC so I thought I would ask.

Agressive driving is what kills most of the differentials. Mine went over 4 years including 2+ years supercharged. It gave out when I pushed it very very hard off the line racing.
I'm putting down over 250 ft lbs of torque and it did fine with spirited driving and run on races.
