As a Comptech owner, you'd think I would've voted for the Comptech blower. But I actually voted for the Vortech, as it has a slight power advantage over the Comptech. I've also read that the Vortech tops out much higher than the Comptech blower in terms of boost.

Both are fine systems and you can't go wrong with either. I went with CT because I liked the company and already had many of their parts.

my first setup;
ctsc, 7lb pulley, 4.57's, everything else stock made 289whp. The look of the ctsc really complimented the engine bay and this is definately the quieter of the two sc.

my current setup;
vtsc, 6lb pulley, 4.77's, header, exhaust, tp, aem ems, 750cc injectors, hondata gasket, open filter, krank vents, tuned is currently making 323whp but is very loud. This sc is not as clean looking as the comptech kit out the box but the number difference makes me choose this one over the other one.

If power is not your main goal i'd say throw in the ctsc if you want it to be quiet. The way I see it is out of the box the vortech makes more power.

True with $$$ the comptech can be able to surpass the vtsc but with that same amount of $$$ wouldn't the vtsc make better numbers?

which ever one you choose you'll be very happy.

Vortech hands down
The largest whp S/C #'s are from the Vortech owners.
That said, which one looks betters depends on whether or not you're a fan of Carbon fiber and Black(Comptech) .... or Chrome and Black(Vortech)!

Customer Service -Previously Comptech had the edge but due to there hiatus, that goes to Vortech(by default). It also helped that Comptech was sold in Dealerships.

Maintenance - The Comptech Belts are by far the easist to replace.

Reliability - Both systems are good. Some Comptech units have problems with there FMU's. Some, if not a third of the Vortech Systems have problems with there "Black Box"(recommend using AEM EMS 1052/1052U with the Vortech....also makes it easier for upgrades later).

This topic has been debated numerous times and everyone "Agrees to Disagree" on which is better

In the end... as long as you're driving an S2000.....who care's!

You want quieter, reliable, and cleaner setup ride then CTSC.

If you want power, then VTSC.

I vote for CTSC overall.

Both systems are capable of 400whp+

as ive mention, i already have a 7psi pulley and that would even out when it comes to initial install. but theres only one S that ive seen that was able to be in 400+whp in CTSC as compared to VTSC a lot of them are on 400whp club. if only CTSC impeller capabilty would be higher then i would install it. as much as possible, i dont want to lower the compression. by the way, whats the safe maximun boost i can do on a stock internals other than upgrading the injectors?
I got over 400 with a Comptech Unit on 13 psi. I never actually saw the numbers on the dyno because of issues that were later resolved off the dybo but I did get 370 at 7,400 at 9.4psi and my redline was set to 8,600 (AEM EMS AP2) so if you follow the curve, it was well up there.

Don't forget...the CTSC comes with a Walbro fuel pump. After an hour of driving she'll squeel like a gut pig. But, overall the kit has fantastic. I am pleased.

Just curious, but what does the Vortech use as an upgraded fuel pump?
