Default Injector install

is there a DIY for installing RC injectors? I searched and nothing really came up except threads about the wiring. I do not have instructions with the injectors.

Even a link to a website that has the install instructions would be great.

PS, it would be great to add this to the FAQs.

They are wired up the same orientation as stock. You will need the RC pigtails.

I found all the wiring instructions I need.

Please give instructions for the actual install of the injector. It looks simple (remove fuel rail, pop out old injectors, pop in new ones, clip wires on) but I would like to have some instructions so I know the best way to go about it and also keep from messing something up accidently.

You hit the nail on the head for the re-install. It's very straight forward like you mentioned. Just do one injector at a time and be patient. Make sure you put the aluminum spacers under the fuel rail studs, not under the fuel rail. Also, make sure you have new washers for the fuel dampener becuase you may get a fuel leak if you flip them or try to re-use them. Put a little engine oil on the top O-rings when you re-install the fuel rail to prevent binding and ripping.

This is where the spacers go:

The stud on the left is correct, the one on the right is wrong:

The old injector seals will probably be stuck in. They must be removed in order to fit the RC's. Left side is wrong and right side is correct:

Is the person that you are buying the injectors from going back to stock? If so they shouldn't need them anymore. Even if they are going for bigger injectors, they should come with new ones unless they are buying used like you and that other person does not have them.

Otherwise, use 5 x 1mm washers. Nice it they are wrapped in electrical tape so you don't loose them.
