Great thanx a lot
Learning a lot today.


First thing Im going to do before I download this map is to hook up the factory map sensor with my original map and see if that helps any. Ijust want to rule out the timing on the cam gears, which im still very skeptical about.

Still not really understanding this though AUS


What you have to do is select all cells and copy. Then paste them into the smaller area that represents a similar range. Don't worry that they are not the same breakpoints. The software will interpolate and approximate them. You will have to retune for the rest of the map.

I know it goes against the grain but it does work.

The whole MAP used to represent -14.7-11psi with corresponding values.

After you do the wizard the map represents -14.7-35psi. But the value in the 35psi cells is the same as it previous was for 11psi. Not gunna fly.

So after redoing Breakpoints to represent the range you want you select all cells, copy, then select all cells from the bottom to the breakpoint row that closest represents the OEM max value (about 11psi). If you've set you scale to a max of 24psi it will be the bottom 2/3rds of the table. Now paste.

I had a look at your map. You have values for 24psi. How did you calculate these?

You should have values from your old MAP going from -14.7 to 11psi.

Above this your values must be either 0 or an educated guess.

Peanut Butter, if you're getting a bit confused I found it helps if you use the Compare function as well. Open File/Compare and compare your previous map with the new one you've just created. Then check out your fuel map and see if the previous values on the same load sites correspond. Essentially, what you need to do is create a new map from your old one but with your new load range. Then copy and paste your old settings from your previous load maximum value to where that is now on your new range.

In your above post you said go 4 lbs over the target boost range and then calculate from there

I'm curious about engine load, In the AEM, when it says 14psi of engine load, does that corrispond with 14psi of boost (ie a direct relationship) or is engine load more then just the boost from the turbo/supercharger? If so what would a rough conversion be (if thats possible to say?

ie, 10psi of engine load is idle, 20psi is ~10psi boosted, and 30psi is 20psi boosted?
