Default Inline Pro Kit

First of all i have searched and have found no real details on how to install a turbo. I have looked for a DIY for the inline pro kit. I found a headgasket install by specops but thats about it...

Im ordering a new inline pro turbo kit in a couple days, i ordered all of the additional parts and a clutch. Now im pretty mechanically inclined but i have never put on a turbo. Would it be too much of a job for me or is it pretty simple? Im just not crazy about paying someone 2Gs to install a turbo....

P.S. Any good shops around the Missouri where they install and tune inline pro kits on s2000. Thanks

As of now, there are no real DIY guides on these forums although I know IP has some kind of installation manual but it is recommended that a professional does it. The turbo kit (aside from taping the oil pan) is pretty straight forward but your going to have one hell of a time doing the clutch, thats a bitch and a half.

I'm sorry I'm slacking on my DIY... I have pics but haven't taken the time to lay it all out. Eventually.

On the clutch, mbilderback posted an illustrated guide in 2006, here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=384133&st=0
I thought it was very well done, and I plan to use it, IF a Kraftwerks kit is ever made for my car (so I can burn up clutches).

Hint, hint, OJR.

You shouldn't have a major problem with the install of the turbo kit, the clutch will take some time if you haven't done it before. With using a friends lift and both of us having never done an S2000 clutch before it took us about 5 hours being pretty careful.

On a side note, you're in the same boat as me. Chris is shipping my kit this week, but I hope you have a plan for engine management on the DBW besides the Emanage Ultimate... I'm waiting for the Hondata to come out... hopefully. But if it doesn't I may run the AEM FIC.

haha its all good spec that headgasket install is quite impressive. Anything that i should have problems with? I was going to put the turbo here and then trailer it up to virgina... Could IP look over it before they tune or will they not be able to evaluate the job...
