Kind of off topic but it has to do with intercoolers....

I was going to get a IP intercooler, but after reading this I don't know about that.

Are the OBX intercoolers good? My aim is for 350-400whp

Oh alright....I was on the OBX website and they want like $600 for their intercoolers

I am looking at Treadstone and will probably go with them. Which intercooler would fit with the IP street kit? The Treadstone TRE10?

You must have the 750 or 800 hp intercooler. The IP 600 hp intercooler will fit between the rails but the 750 and 800 hp units wont. I have the 800 hp IP unit and had to cut the rails a bit to get it to fit. A buddy of mine used to have the IP 600 hp unit and it fit between the rails.

Chadd it is 600hp unit, fits the same as dsddcd. I really do not like how that looks. That is tucking the intercooler up untill it hits the frame rail. Even at this point it still needs to go up at least another inch.

Ghettocrxsi how did you mount yours? It is hard to tell from the pictures. Did you cut the frame rails to tuck the intercooler up?

I will have to take a pic when I am out at my shop tomorrow. I used some stainless flat bar and made some mounts. It fits behind the bumper support and as high as I could put it.

I also bent the a/c canister bracket and flipped it to move the i/c back like another inch.

Thats weird Martin. My good friend here has the IP 600 HP intercooler and it fit right between the rails with no problems. Boostedf22c also used to have the IP 600 hp intercooler when Geists2k used to own the car and I believe it fit between the rails with no cutting also. I wonder if IP changed the design of it some since a few years back?
