Default install 3" exhaust without a new tune?

I just got my Megan 3" single exhaust & 3" asura test pipe

Would it be OK to install them and drive around without a retune? I plan on getting retuned eventually, but I need to get a 3" downpipe fabbed up before that.

my current exhaust is 63mm & 63mm testpipe, downpipe is 2.5"

I mean you could drive it to the shop to fab you up a 3" downpipe, but I wouldnt be out cruising and boosting.

Yeah, I think you will need to get a tune as well soon there after, I just added the inline 3" single and gained between 15 or so hp. Although I like the look of my dual better and it's louder, I am going for power.

kevin,

the truth is the bigger the exhaust the more boost you'll make. it will also affect spool time as well. it's fine to install your exhaust and drive it to the tuner, but i wouldn't be building any boost at all before you get a retune.

the 3inch DP will do more for your power than the larger TP and exhaust. You'll be really impressed on how much quicker the turbo spools with the bigger DP. Do not boost or drive the car without retuning it. It will need quite a bit more fuel to make up for the increased flow.

The increased exhaust flow with cause your car to run lean out.
