Default Installed UR front mount for Comptech SC

I recently got my Ultimate Racing front mount kit for the Comptech SC all installed and working. I hit a few snags because of the radiator setup I was using but once I figured that out, its working great.

Mainly I want to clear up some confusion on this kit. My goal was to initially have the kit running at the stock Comptech boost levels and move to more boost down the line. This is mostly a track car with street and autox driving as well so keeping the heat to minimum was more important then boost efficiency. From what I have read in previous threads it seemed nearly impossible to get the kit running at the stock 5.5psi of boost. With my kit however I installed an ASP 4.0" pulley and I am getting 5.4-5.6 psi at red line. Exactly what I wanted.

Also I can't recommend Ultimate Racing enough, they were super helpful and had excellent customer service.

Note: I am in no way affiliated with Ultimate Racing, just a happy customer.

According to UR this is the difference in temps:

This is air to air, the aftercooler is air to water.

I'll take some more pictures this weekend.

Sounds about right on the boost offset. And for the track I agree its probably the best way to go if your fine with lower power.

But nothing beats an A/C, with or without an upgraded heat exchanger if you want maximum reliable power 425+

so you lost about 3-4 psi? Sounds about right
can you notice the lag or throttle response from the longer charge pipe routing.

Glad to see someone was happy with this product. I didn't like it at all, so I switched to an aftercooler setup.

can you explain yourself? i am debating on an intercooler vs aftercooler,
what did you not like about it? i know it will cap your boost level to about 10 psi, but thats okay with me, i just want to cool my IAT the best way, without having to worry about pumps failing or heat soak.

First off, they claim a 1 psi loss which is completely false, more like 4 psi. I also wasn't to fond of cutting up all the plastic to make it work. The bov position with the Tial bov is in a retarded location. You have to be really careful of how you position the bov because it will rub on the hood or the supercharger bracket.

I think that is the end of my rant. Ohh one more, they charge an awful lot of money for that thing.

You know what the sad thing is? My buddy with a CT kit got it used with the Ult Racing fmic. Was running a 9lb pulley and got 5psi, so yes 4psi loss. Thought that was too much and replaced his BOV thinking it was bad. Then said hell with it and got a 12psi pulley and still only made 5psi hahaha. He has to have a leak in that thing becuase that's not right, but I just thought it was a bit amusing after the 4psi loss slap in the face. He still hasn't figured it out and fixed it, it makes 5psi at about 5k rpm to redline
