Default installing FPR

I have a supercharged AP1 (with AEM and other goodies). I currently have the stock FPR on and I am looking at get an aftermarket regulator along with a few other minor upgrades and retune. My issue is, if I install a different FPR how can I insure it is at the same pressure as the stock so I can drive to the tuner? My fear is installing it and running to rich or to lean on the drive to the tuner due to increase or decrease in fuel pressure.

thought about that but how would I go about installing one and if I did what pressure would it need to be at?

Stock FP is ~44psi

There are a number of options for installing a gauge. Are you looking for a digital signal you can log or an analog one connected to an in car or underhood gauge? Since you're using AEM, I recommend having a sender installed on your fuel rail (again, there are options for this) and having the signal sent straight to your AEM.

Here's the sensor I'm using: http://www.aemelectronics.com/100-ps...sensor-kit-647

All that said, why do you need a FPR? Since you have AEM, you don't need it to increase or reduce fuel.

It seemed like the stock FPR was having problems keeping up with fuel demand at higher RPMS where peak boost is made. My injectors are big so it wasn't a huge problem but I didn't feel that the pressure was consistant enough. I have an AEM V1 so I am unsure if that sensor would work with it? Anyway I was more of just looking for assurance that I could keep up with the fuel demands of my set up.

I highly doubt its a problem with your FPR. I would look into your fuel pump and/or injectors before I messed with the FPR.

What are your A/F's doing? Do you have a log you can post?

I don't have a log. It was a while ago. pump is a walbro 255. Another issue was that the map sensor didn't read all the way so a little extra fuel needed to be added at higher RMPs was my understanding. I don't know a lot about the tuning process. Like I said it was a while ago and the car is fine to drive. I just thought now that I am taking the car out this season I might as well do the adjustments since I did some mods and want to retune it anyway. Car also seems to run rich.

How much boost are you running? Is it the stock map sensor? The stock map sensor is only good up to 10-11 PSI.
