sup guys..... how man of yall running any after markets intake manifolds...? Im considering one butthe only thing is i dont know which way to go really there are really not many options but still would like to get some input from those who have them... thanks guys!!!!!!!

 

look at the SIG,
It really gave a Mid Push better and according to the maker it gave 40whp around 6k and he said EMS was imperative to get most of it.
Too bad they only made 2 and i have one.No more available.......
I drive it stock no mods with EMS but definetly an improvment...And no heat transfer at all.

 

I have the hypertune. It's awsome except for the fact that you have to cut your hood to make it fit. I have a whole thread on it, just search hypertune.

 

hmm yeah i saw that thread.... did you notice the gain/imporvement with it ? was it worth it in your opinion....? and what kinda cutting exactly got any pics? thanks!

 

I have the stock intake manifold that was custom welded and bored to 70mm for me... it was then lightened by about 4lbs and polished to a mirror finish... looks GREAT

 

how about performance wise? feel/ notice any gains.....

 

i have a custom mani made up for me... helps me alot...bigger plenium and runners...great for boost

 

talk to sideways... he made one up for me... opened up the stock to accept a 70mm tb...havent had the chance throw it on yet and when i do it will be wih a bunch o other stuff......

I would say do this if this was among the last things you have to do..finish all the other Performance upgrades first...
I would suggest to port and polish the heade,I made around 11whp NA with this and maybe the Stock IM made a difference also since it was polished too.

by the way if you are going to do this yourself prepare to have some Interesting times when taking off the OEM IM and not to get to nervous when you do,...
